Guymon Municipal Airport (IATA: GUY[2], ICAO: KGUY, FAA LID: GUY) is a city-owned, public-use airport located two nautical miles (3.7 km) west of the central business district of Guymon, a city in Texas County, Oklahoma, United States.[1] As per the FAA's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2009-2013, it is classified as a general aviation airport.[3] The airport was formerly served by Central Airlines.[4]
Guymon Municipal Airport covers an area of 480 acres (190 ha) at an elevation of 3,123 feet (952 m) above mean sea level. It has two runways: 18/36 is 5,900 by 100 feet (1,798 x 30 m) with an asphalt surface and 6/24 is 1,795 by 200 feet (547 x 61 m) with a turf surface.[1]
For the 12-month period ending June 17, 2009, the airport had 17,275 aircraft operations, an average of 47 per day: 93% general aviation, 7% scheduled commercial, and <1% military. At that time there were 33 aircraft based at this airport: 73% single-engine, 24% multi-engine and 3% ultralight.[1]
